The Cameron Station Civic Association needs your help monitoring Virginia Paving. Now that the weather is improving, Virginia Paving will begin their 24-hour paving schedule. From April 1 through November 1, Virginia Paving can produce 275,000 tons of asphalt at night, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and work 24 hours each day, 6 days each week for 110 nights.
If you notice odor or dust at anytime, or noise or excessive lighting at night, please contact Carlos Martins, Sr. Air Pollution Control Specialist for the City of Alexandria, at: 703-519-3400 x. 116. The next meeting of the Virginia Paving/Mayor's Liaison Panel is Wednesday, October 17 at 7 p.m. at Tucker Elementary School, 2nd floor meeting room.
